What is Poker?

Poker is a card game where you bet on how strong your hand is. The goal is to have the best hand at the table and win the pot. It involves a mix of skill, strategy, and luck.

What Kind of Poker Will Be Played?

We can help you organize an event in the theme of Texas Hold'em poker. Texas Hold'em is the most popular poker variant. Playing it, players try to make the best five-card hand using a combination of their own two private cards and five community cards.

How Texas Hold'em Poker Works

The Deal

  • Each player receives two private cards face down (hole cards).
  • Three community cards are dealt face up in the center of the table (the flop).

Betting Round

Players bet or fold based on their hole cards and the flop.

Note: In poker, to "fold" means to discard your hand and forfeit any interest in the current pot. By folding, you give up on the hand and lose any bets you've already made. You can't win the pot if you fold, but you also don't have to put any more money into it.

The Turn

  • A fourth community card is dealt face up.
  • Another betting round occurs.

The River

  • A fifth and final community card is dealt face up.
  • A final betting round takes place.

Showdown

  • If more than one player remains, they reveal their hole cards.
  • The player with the best five-card hand using any combination of their hole cards and the community cards wins the pot.

How It All Works

All guests will be given pre-printed ‘fun money’ that can be exchanged for chips at the casino tables. Just like in a real-life casino, the goal is simple: make as much “cash” as you can during the session.

Our standard hire runs for three hours, but if you fancy a longer game night, just let us know, and we’ll sort it out for you.
